Welcome to the Glades Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated!
It is my honor and privilege to welcome you to the Glades Alumnae Chapter’s official website. We are a chapter of women committed to the ideals of sisterhood, scholarship, service, and social action, and we are proud to serve the Glades communities with purpose, compassion, and excellence.
As we begin another sorority year, we embrace the theme:
“Rooted Together, Rising Together, Reaching Beyond Together.”
These words reflect who we are and whom we strive to become. Rooted Together reminds us to remain grounded in the legacy, traditions, and principles of Delta Sigma Theta while strengthening the bonds of sisterhood. Rising Together challenges us to encourage one another, grow as leaders, and overcome challenges together. Reaching Beyond Together calls us to expand our impact through meaningful programs, partnerships, advocacy, education, and service.
The Glades Alumnae Chapter remains committed to the Five-Point Programmatic Thrust of our beloved Sorority: Educational Development, Economic Development, International Awareness and Involvement, Physical and Mental Health, and Political Awareness and Involvement. Through these areas, we strive to meet our communities’ needs and create opportunities for positive change.
